Name of Leader:
Meadowstar
Age of Leader:
Forty-eight Moons
Clan of Leader:
CloudClan
Gender of Leader:
She-cat
Lives Left:
Nine out of Nine; newly named Leader
Appearance:
Meadowstar is well, surprisingly, a large cat in size; she’s not fat, just build differently…In a way, I guess you could say that she is thickset. She is well proportioned and muscled, though in contrast from her large size, her paws are small – like that of her mother’s; Meadowstar is covered in a layer of thick fur, long and well-groomed. Her ears are torn at the tips – wounds received from battles in her past and though you cannot see them due to her fur, Meadowstar’s body is battled-scar; the only scar that is most visible is the one that runs across her left eye and down to the tip of her nose.
Meadowstar’s fur is long and colored with many different hues. The base color of her fur is a light gray – though, it’s more of a smoky gray color than light gray; topping the smoky gray hues are patches of many different colors, though, the main two are black and brown. Black stripe-like markings run across her back and tail, down onto her legs and paws while brown sometimes fills in the spaces between the stripes. Her underside is a creamy white in color – nothing special really; Meadowstar’s face is a light gray and covered with dark gray markings. Her eyes are rounded and traced in black, contrasting with the brilliant yellow that seems to change colors in the sun; the yellow of her eyes is more of a yellowish-orange – fierce and mysterious.
Personality:
Neutral.
Meadowstar has a neutral personality – neither filled with good intentions or bad; she prefers to be by herself and isn’t one to make friends right off the bad. She is quiet, but that quiet is something that she has always had within her and something that she often used. Meadowstar is very cautious when it comes to newcomers and outside cats – never speaking too much about her Clan and always giving short answers – curt and to the point. Her emotions are always held behind a mask and they are hard to detect, but if a cat can detect what she is feeling – then, give them a round of applause. Many cats wonder about Meadowstar’s strange personality, but nothing is ever said – well, as far as she knows; however, Meadowstar is a good listener and will listen to a cat’s problems, but she isn’t one to hand out advice – oh no. She is the listener, period.
Yet, despite her unusual quiet nature, Meadowstar puts a great deal of trust into two cats and only two cats – her Deputy and Medicine Cat; they are her advisors and she often confronts them when something is troubling her. Other than that, she rarely is found in a deep conversation with the other cats of her Clan; however, the thing that some cats don’t know is that Meadowstar cares deeply for her Clan and Clanmates, but has trouble expressing how she feels aka, the reason for her quietness. Meadowstar is also a very serious cat and sees crimes among the cats of her Clan unforgivable, though, she does give them a fair trial. Meadowstar is not one for jokes when it comes to certain things and she likes to keep things orderly; the Clan must come first and every cat should be doing something to help out the Clan whenever possible.
Meadowstar, however, also leans more towards the dark side along with her neutral personality; she secretly envies certain cats of their qualities and longs to sink her claws into them when they “show-off”; Meadowstar is slightly power-hungry and longs to rule at least half of the forest, but not the whole thing. She wants her Clan to strive and in that want, she seems to lean towards the darker side every time that want builds.
Basically, to summon things up – Meadowstar is a confused little kitty who wants what is best for her Clan and is trying too hard to get it. :]
History:
Born to Crookedjaw and Brightleaf of CloudClan, Meadowstar [Meadowkit at the time] was their first and only kit; Meadowkit was born with other siblings, but they were all too weak to survive the first night and had to be buried the next day. Brightleaf went into a period of depression and was unable to care for Meadowkit, so she had to be cared for by Brightleaf’s friend, Silentstep. Crookedjaw tried as hard as he could to get Brightleaf to tend to her child, but in the end, Crookedjaw’s attempt was futile and Brightleaf completely ignored the fact that she had a kit; so, Meadowkit grew up knowing Silentstep as “Momma”.
Meadowkit and her “siblings”, Willowkit and Stormkit, were apprenticed at the age of six moons; Meadowkit, now Meadowpaw, was apprenticed to Eagleclaw. Her training began later on during the week and she progress as any normal apprentice would; however, Meadowpaw’s training was put on hold when her mentor was killed in a raid lead by a band of CloudClan rogues and their recruits. Meadowpaw grieved for her mentor, but was assigned a new one soon after – Eagleclaw’s brother, Larkclaw. Larkclaw was a young tom, brother to Eagleclaw through a different litter and just slightly older than Meadowpaw herself; she was his first apprentice and he would soon be her first love.
As they spent time together, Meadowpaw felt herself being drawn towards the young tom and she longed to know how Larkclaw felt about her, yet she didn’t have the courage to ask him; finally, when Meadowpaw was about to ask him one day in camp, it turned out that Larkclaw already had a mate and she was expecting his kits. Meadowpaw was heartbroken and she was thrown in a period of silence; she only spoke when she was spoken too. Larkclaw was bewildered by her sudden depression, but was too busy caring for his mate to really ask her why she was so sad. Meadowpaw finished her training and was promoted to Meadowheart.
Meadowheart soon forgot about her lust for Larkclaw and kept to herself; oddly, the currently Leader, Longstar, found Meadowheart interesting and tried to break the ice that had formed Meadowheart’s shell. The young warrior merely pushed Longstar away and did the same to any cat that tried to become friends with her; Willowkit [now Willowleaf] and Stormkit [now Stormshadow] were also pushed away from their adoptive sister and they formed a grudge against her. When Meadowheart was about thirty moons old, the current deputy, Gorsewhisker, died and Longstar proclaimed Meadowheart as the new deputy.
Everyone was surprised with Longstar’s decision, including Meadowheart herself, but she quietly accepted the position and went on with her life. Moons passed and as Meadowheart entered her forty-eighth moon, Longstar died peacefully and Meadowheart became Meadowstar.
Why Leader:
Because Meadowstar/heart is a very…difficult cat to figure out and due to her strange personality, she could cause some trouble later on. –hintwinkhintwink- And because she’s awesome.
‘Nuff said. :]
Why You:
Well, because I am me and you luff me, Cat. x] Anyway, enough with the silly stuff!
Why Me -
Well, I've played Leaders in the past and know how to run things; I know what it takes to hold the responsibility of a Leader and that they have to keep the Clan in order. [Wouldn't want a bunch of kitties running around frantically, now would we? <3]
