Name of Apprentice: Swiftpaw (Swiftpine)
Age of Apprentice: Eleven moons
Clan of Apprentice: LittleClan
Mentor of Apprentice: Hawksong
Gender of Apprentice: She-cat
Appearance: Swiftpaw is a a rather homely young dark gray she-cat, in most people's eyes she looks like Graystripe, when they forget for a moment he doesn't have stripes. But she is striped, it just looks like ripples on her, as the darkened coat meshes with them, except where the coat lightens at the tail, giving way for the rings.
I see a little bit of brown in her face, but as I see a headshot, it is not real, though I will include it in her description. It is perhaps off her brown eyes, which is a reason why she was dubbed 'ugly', as it is not common for gray tabbies to have that color of eyes.
In the picture I look at, at the moment, it portrays that Swiftpaw has regular sized back legs, but short front ones. This, however, will not be part of her description, nor will she be tall, short, or long. She will be an average sized almost warrior-aged she-cat.
You may notice, if I had posted the picture, that she has more whiskers on the left side of her face than the right - the reason explained in her history.
To end off, though the description of her face has been over for a bit, but noticing two small cream patches on her right cheek has given her the name she now possesses, her prefix 'Swift', as legends were told all cats were painted, and on the wooden base, two spots were left out. Someone had painted too quickly, thus, Swiftpaw.
Personality: Swiftpaw is well aware she is ugly, all too well. But, as anyone else would retaliate, she takes another method. Swiftpaw would be one of our Twoleg teenagers following the false image of beauty portrayed in magazines, but since make-up is unavailable in the forest, she experiments with leaves and mud. Frustration comes on every once-in-a-while when she does not succeed, and ends up beating up the forest.
Some say she's suitable for a warrior, but otherwise is confirmed when it is pointed out that she can do her own damage, figuratively, because of the stings of herbs, to those who caused her harm.
Usually Medicine Cats are deemed sweet, those who do not wish to do harm, but this she-cat is not one of those. She would have trained as a warrior, but there is one reason not, explained in her history. She would like to hunt, to fight, to protect her Clan, and on an off-chance have kits, but no. Instead she has to stay cooped up in the space called a Medicine Cat Den.
History: Swiftpaw is the only daughter of Quailcall, and about the only she-cat that was in the Nursery at the time, sons sprang up like rabbits while daughters were few. This is probably why she has earned her social status. The toms tried to get along with her - because their mothers told them too, you could see right through them - but Swiftpaw knew a lie or two. In another attempt, later on, once love stories had been told to the kits, they attempted to flirt with her - what flirts they were - but nothing could get past that wall she had built up to them, after the initial insults
But, in relation to her whiskers, her brother Boulderpaw dared her to pull out some of her whiskers, in order to look prettier. Her brother she trusted a little bit more, and did so. But, she only got as far as most of the right side, before Quailcall found out, and blood had already started to flow. A quick trip to Hawksong's den, but she would be without some of her whiskers for many moons, as they grow slowly.
In the weeks leading up to her apprentice ceremony, the message of a storm coming had been passed to Galestar, and rumors - false and true - were circulating. But another sign came along, the Clans had to be prepared. A whisker painting and leaving out two spots. A Medicine Cat sees many patients and does not remember the whole Clan. But once Swiftkit came in for a check, the sign could not be clearer.
The she-kit grouchily became Hawksong's apprentice.
Why Medicine Cat?: Medicine Cat Apprentice is a fun position to play, in my opinion, as I have played it before. I also find that she would be fitting either/or as a LittleClan Conspirator/Supporter, and because of that her connection with StarClan could be cut off.
Why You?: I have been RPing for about two years now, and have held the position of Medicine Cat on various sites, but the one I have had the longest and am most proud of my accomplishments on is Warriors: Four Clans Of The Forest, where I am ThunderClan Medicine Cat as Rowanflame, but it has been a while since I have been looking through an apprentice's eyes, and since I cannot seem to let go of my knowledge of herbs long enough to play an apprentice without a disability, I have decided to try here.
