Name of Kit:
Sablekit
Mother of Kit:
Rainpelt - LittleClan, location unknown.
Father of Kit:
Zephyr - Loner, location unknown.
Age of Kit:
Five moons.
Can of Kit:
LittleClan.
Gender of Kit:
She-cat.
Appearance:
Short, thick black fur coats the whole of the she-kit’s small body. The shade is only obstructed by white mittens on all four paws and chest; even her nose is black enough to blend in perfectly with the surrounding fur. In addition to the usual tuxedo feline's coloration, a thin white ringlet encircles her neck and wraps up around her muzzle, dissipating just below her grass-green eyes.
While the kit has strikingly bright green eyes now, they will slowly fade as she grows. Similar to many kits, her brilliant irises will turn a more golden shade, becoming an olive-green as she reaches adulthood. Long, white whiskers seem even more elongated against her dark pelt.
As Sablekit is a young feline, her body has yet to fill out to even a shadow of its final form. The small she-kit’s paws are quite large, and her body short and stubby. Her tail, having grown a bit faster than the rest of her, seems out of place compared to the rest of the kit’s chubby body.
Personality:
As with any other young cat, Sablekit is always ready to play. It is, after all, how a creature initially learns all methods of survival. Without any siblings, however, most of her play is more subdued, focusing not purely on entertainment, but gaining important skills, as well. Most of her first games involved those of stealth--being quiet… sneaky.
While not overly intelligent, Sablekit is a relatively clever young kit. She learns fairly quickly, though does not act eager to gain more knowledge. She is patient--for a cat of less than eight moons--and relatively serious. She doesn’t hide what she’s thinking; she just thinks before speaking. Even so, Sablekit is not afraid to have her word be known. In fact, the she-kit has a rather dry sense of humor that shows through probably a bit too often.
Even at her young age, Sablekit tries her hardest to follow the Warrior Code, for it is the only “parent”--or thing that gives her meaning--that she knows. The whole Clan she regards as her family, thus she attempts to treat all of them with some amount of respect.
History:
Sablekit's father left long before her birth; as a loner whose very named described his way of life, Zephyr was not a cat to hang around in one place for long. The tom had shown up and left within a moon, though this was long enough to capture one particular she-cat’s heart. Rainpelt, a black-coated feline of LittleClan descent, fell for Zephyr shortly after running across him on a border patrol. While Zephyr was clearly uninterested, the clan-cat was infatuated with the wandering loner. Rainpelt remained with LittleClan after the loner left, though was constantly distracted.
Sablekit is the only surviving feline of a litter of two; the other was a stillborn, losing its life before it had even begun. As that is quite common, Sablekit never really thought about it, nor did
her ever-distracted mother. Most likely, Sablekit never knew that she could have had a brother, for not many remember their first moon of life at all.
When the she-kit was three moons old, RainPelt got up and left the Clan without warning, her affection for Zephyr winning over her motherly instincts. The she-cat was never seen again on the Clan territory, nor even scented in any of the lands nearby.
(Rainpelt never found Zephyr. She wandered for moons, sometimes joining up with other loners in the constant hunt for food, all across the land. Eight months after leaving LittleClan, she was captured by two-legs, who placed her in an animal shelter, where she was tamed.)
Without a family to link any loyalties to, Sablekit became devoted to her Clan even before her Apprenticeship. After her mother left, she was cared for by various queens who happened to have litters at the moment; none in particular “adopted” her, which reinforced her devotion to the Clan as a whole.
